Mister Anderson.

Chuck Anderson sounds like a character from “the Matrix”. Although he isn't, his work definitely takes you there. Not only is his work unreal, the way he came to where he is today is just too much for me to handle. What might make some struggling designers envious of him is that he is mainly self-taught and I emphasize the phrase, SELF-TAUGHT. He skipped college but not only that, he’s only 24! He truly is a natural talent. His work combines the use of strong lighting effects with a variety of colors and photography. He has a very impressive client list which include Addidas, Burton, Amp Energy Drink, Honda, Lupe Fiasco, Mcdonalds, Ministry of Sound, ESPN, Microsoft, Urban Outfitters…I could go on. He seriously is a very fortunate individual that has worked hard and has had his whole career work out well for him. Everything fell into place for him quite well and I am officially jealous. You could read more about him in various interviews posted on his website Nopattern. Check out more of his work and try not to cry while doing it, but instead have it be a motivation to step your design game up. Seriously.

  2. I really like the web site. I am not jealous of self taught artist. I find it to be an inspiration because the bottom line after we finished Cal State Los Angeles I must begin to teach myself. Graphic design programs are pretty new in school programs. In the two classes, I was introduce to the basic information. If I hope to learn more of the programs, I must be discipline to learn the programs. Also Henry, I find you as an inspiration because you have discipline and determination to learn what you need to learn.

  3. I really like his work, out of space, colorful and full of imagination. Especially in light effects, he's defiantly an expert. I found a bit of similarity of my recent work with his and I am getting inspiration from it. It is very cool to know such person.

  5. Wow he's 2 years older than me and like 200 times more talented. Are you trying to depress me Henry? jk His work is really nice. It's clean, yet dynamic and definitely targets our demographic. I love the clients he's worked with and would love to get to his status one day. I think the most important thing is not that he was self-taught, but that he had enough determination and perseverance to let his passion drive him to success.
